Our history
Clintons Medtrust Group, originally established in 1973 by Arthur G Clinton BA FCA and referred to as Clintons, is the successor company of one of the first firms of Chartered Accountants to register a branch in Gibraltar in 1935. From being a firm specialising in audit services for the shipping and general trading sector, Clintons now concentrates mainly on company formation, company management services and professional trustee services.
With over 40 years of experience and specialising in Gibraltar companies, Clintons maintains a high professional standard and reputation providing a personal service in a wide range of activities to its international clients.
Due to our proximity to mainland Spain and knowledge of the Spanish language and culture we often assist our clients with property transactions which sometimes include the maintenance of property in Spain.
Gibraltar
The history of Gibraltar has been driven by its strategic position near the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea and Gibraltar, referred to either as The Rock of Gibraltar or The Key to the Mediterranean, runs North/South to the Europa Point on the Mediterranean Sea with the town itself built on the western slopes facing the bay and overlooking the Spanish sea-port of Algeciras.
Its position on the bay makes it an advantageous natural anchorage for ships and Gibraltar includes the advantages not only of an attractive climate but of an English speaking community, utilisation of Sterling in conjunction with the local currency.
